This has been a long, hard fought primary season, and its coming to an end tonight. At some point, when it becomes universally accepted(by all the powers that be at this site, no matter how pro-Clinton) that Obama is, in fact, the Democratic Nominee, all these anti-Obama diaries should, in my opinion, be removed and those diarists should to be kicked out. Let me be clear, I am not making demands, but rather am making a few suggestions here. If the powers that be see things differently, (and they are most surely entitled to do so), they should, however, realize what that might mean to those of us who have continued to read and participate in discussions on this site whilst holding the assumption that it was still a pro-Democratic site. Many would probably conclude that some of the changes I suggest should already have happened and much of what has been allowed has gone on for too long already. That may be true, but, in any case, tonight represents a key opportunity for this site to make crystal clear to its participants where it stands on certain points that have seemed to become pretty murky at best over the past several months. I'm thinking tonight should probably mark such a turning point, as the primaries will officially be over. Time to turn the page(both literally and metaphorically)...
